OUR 5TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION CONTINUES AND CULMINATES!!!
FIVE years of success in The Cotton Exchange! Who knew???? We are so incredibly proud of our owners (whose vision was shared), our artists (we are 20 in total!), our work (it's as varied as we are!), our loyal patrons and followers (locals and tourists alike!), our camaraderie, and of course, our sales record!
The Winner of the Pat Holleman Covered Dish with one of her signature glazes is
Robin Kramer of Whiteville!
Week TWO is now underway!
The drawing for this prized Sybil West "porcelain vessel with multiple overlapping slips" will be held next Sunday, April 15, at the end of the business day (4pm). If you would like a chance to win it, simply drop by our gallery, located in The Cotton Exchange, any time this week. Purchase anything at all and you will receive a second chance to win. Be sure to fill out a slip when you enter and at the register.
It is hard to believe, but five years ago a group of wise women potters decided they needed an outlet for their creations. And wisely too, they realized they needed to include other artisans to provide to the public an array of local, handcrafted art and craft in a gallery exclusively of 3-dimensional artwork. And so....Port City Pottery & Fine Crafts was born in The Cotton Exchange in beautiful downtown Wilmington, NC.
This month we celebrate their wisdom and our opening five years ago. We are honoring our founders - l-r: Sybil West, Patricia Hart, Mary Holden-Hall, Pat Holleman - throughout this month culminating in a gala celebratory party on April 27 during Fourth Friday Gallery Walks. Details to follow soon.
Throughout the month, we will have WEEKLY drawings for handmade pottery by our founders. Here's how it works:
Drop by, stop in, browse our gallery! Fill out a door prize slip for a chance to win!
Purchase something from amongst our 20 member artists and receive ANOTHER chance to win.
Each Sunday we will select one winner from the week's slips and notify that person.
You must visit and/or purchase each week to be eligible for that week's drawing.
